let's do a game jam! i don't think we have just yet, so why not now?
rules: make a game that experiments with graphics.
deadline: next monday

This isn't a competition, it's just for fun and practice. you can make this in any language, and if you would like to livestream it post a link. I will keep this post updated with the submitted games.

i ended up taking my inspiration from a screenshot of an old game of cactus'

mine dosn't look too much like it though.

i'm hoping to make mine a game where your double jumps are made by shooting at the ground.

i liked it, but the precision jumping later on probably wasn't the best fit for this. i could see the effect in tuning, and you should definitely reuse this at some point.

Here's my game. It's really really really short. But I plan on working on it more. You just get to the first boss. There should be an error after you get past him too (Cause it tries to send you to a non-existant room, for now). Gimme some feedback please.
